Russel Guballa Pleyto

Born on the 19^th of April 1970 in the flourishing Municipality of Santa Maria, Bulacan, Mayor Pleyto started his young life like any other ordinary children being playful, energetic, and spirited. Raised by his doting parents, Engr. Salvador Aquino Pleyto Sr. – a government official, and Mrs. Miguela Diaz Guballa Pleyto – a businesswoman, Mayor Pleyto was sufficiently supported by his parents and strived for quality education.  In his childhood days, Mayor Pleyto was always observed to have a sense of leadership, camaraderie, and compassion. In his small ways, he was fond of creating a remarkable impact to the lives of his relatives, peers, and fellow residents. Consequently, Mayor Pleyto was always engaged in public service and has been a perseverant youth leader in his community. As a matter of fact in his early political career, he was one of the youngest Barangay Chairmen in Santa Maria, Bulacan. He also served as the only politician who served as 3-Term Vice Mayor in the Municipal Government of Santa Maria. Currently as the Municipal Mayor of Santa Maria, Bulacan, a first class municipality considered to be one of the most globally-competitive municipalities in the country which also serves as the growth center in the eastern part of the Province of Bulacan, the Local Government, in his executive leadership, has been awarded numerous recognitions for its outstanding performance, excellent leadership, and quality public service anchored by the vision of developing a community of pro-active and progressive thinking citizenry committed towards continuing development, served by an effective and responsive government.
