Dr. Saad Al Shebab has been the Governor of Amman, Jordan since 2016. Prior to this, Dr. Shebab was the Governor of Medaba (2014-2015) and Governor of Arbed (2015-2016). In addition, he performed various other duties in public services focusing on elections including the Director of Electoral Dept in Ministry of interior (2007-2010), a member of the superior committee of the parliamentarian elections (2010), Media Spokesman of the Parliamentarian Elections (2010) and Advisor at the Independent Elections Body (2012). In 2007, Dr. Shebab was granted the Second Degree Independence Royal Award by The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFIES). Dr. Shebab holds a bachelor’s degree from Morocco (1986), a high diploma and an MBA degree from the Arabic Academy for the Financial and Monetary Arts in Jordan (2006-2007) and a Ph.D. from Al-Jenan University in Lebanon (2015).
