Abdullah Ayaz

Mr. Abdullah Ayaz graduated from the Law Faculty of İstanbul University in 2000. He completed his master’s degree in public administration at the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom between 2012-2013. He began his local authority profession as the candidate for district governor of Kütahya in December, 2001. He later served as the district governor of Antalya-İbradı and Van-Çatak; deputy governor of Kilis; and district governor of Rize-Çayeli. Mr. Ayaz, who began his duty as the Head of Migration Policies and Projects Department in the Directorate General of Migration Management on August 17, 2015 and assumed the post of Deputy Head of International Protection Department in 2016, was appointed as the Deputy Director General on June 20, 2017 and appointed as Director General on October 27, 2018.
